About this policy
Sproutbit is a plant-care app that turns real plant care into a pixel companion experience. In this policy, "Sproutbit," "we," "us," and "our" refer to the Sproutbit app and the Sproutbit pages operated by Just An App LLC.
Sproutbit uses your plant and account information to run the app, protect your progress, personalize care guidance, process purchases through Apple, respond to support requests, and keep the service secure. We do not sell personal information.

Information Sproutbit handles
Account and authentication information
You may use Sproutbit locally or create an account for cloud backup. If you create an account, Sproutbit may process your email address, authentication identifier, sign-in provider details, session tokens, and related account status information needed to create, verify, secure, and restore your account.
Plant, garden, and care records
Sproutbit stores the plants you add, plant names or nicknames, selected species, pot or vessel choices, room and site placement, light configuration, care schedules, care logs, streaks, growth points, coins, shelves, customizations, plant requests, and app preferences needed to make the app work.
Sites, rooms, outdoor spaces, and light setup
When you choose where a plant lives, Sproutbit may save the site type, custom site name, whether it is indoors or outdoors, selected light level, and optional camera-based light reading. Saved site configuration lets Sproutbit reuse that setup for future plants placed in the same site.
Photos, camera, and media
Sproutbit may ask for camera or photo library access when you choose to add plant photos, growth milestone photos, or use a camera-based light check. Photos and related metadata are used to show your plant progress and may be included in cloud backup when you are signed in and the app flow saves them. You control whether you take or select photos.
Reminders and notifications
If you allow notifications, Sproutbit uses local notification settings to remind you about plant care. Reminder preferences, notification permission state, and related scheduling details may be saved on your device and included in backup so your settings can be restored.
Purchases and Sprout Coins
Sprout Coins and other in-app purchases are processed by Apple through StoreKit and the App Store. Apple handles payment details. Sproutbit receives transaction status, product identifiers, and entitlement or balance information needed to deliver purchased content, support restore flows where Apple makes restore available, and troubleshoot purchase issues.
Support, bug reports, and website messages
If you email us or submit a website form, we receive the contact details and message content you provide. The app may prefill support email with app version, sign-in status, plant count, and care log count so we can troubleshoot faster. Do not send passwords, authentication codes, payment card numbers, or information you do not want support to review.
Diagnostics and security
Sproutbit and its service providers may process limited technical information needed to operate, secure, and troubleshoot the app and website, such as app version, device and operating-system information, service errors, request metadata, security logs, and crash or performance information when available.

How we use information
- Provide the app, plant room, care plans, reminders, streaks, rewards, photos, purchases, and account features.
- Personalize plant care based on species, site, pot or vessel, light, growth stage, season, and user settings.
- Back up and restore account data when you sign in and cloud backup is available.
- Review plant requests and add requested plant profiles, care guidance, and pixel art assets.
- Respond to support, bug reports, privacy requests, and account deletion requests.
- Prevent abuse, secure accounts, debug failures, comply with law, and enforce our terms.
Choices
Your privacy choices
- Use Sproutbit locally without creating an account, where supported by the app.
- Create, sign in, sign out, export garden data, delete local garden data, or delete your cloud account from the Account tab.
- Manage camera, photo library, notification, and location-related permissions in iPhone Settings.
- Turn app preferences such as care reminders, haptics, sound effects, and location-based care on or off in the app.
- Contact us to request help accessing, correcting, exporting, or deleting Sproutbit account information.
Retention
Retention and deletion
Local app data stays on your device until you delete it in the app, uninstall the app, or erase the device. Cloud account data is kept while your account is active or as needed to provide backup, restore, support, security, legal compliance, and abuse prevention. If you delete your Sproutbit account in the app, we will delete the associated Sproutbit cloud account data that we control, except where we must keep limited records for security, legal, dispute, or compliance reasons.
Support emails and website messages may be kept as long as needed to resolve your request, maintain records, and protect the service. Apple purchase history remains controlled by Apple even after you delete your Sproutbit account.
Children
Children's privacy
Sproutbit is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child provided personal information to Sproutbit, contact us so we can review and delete it where required.
Updates
Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy as Sproutbit changes. If a change is material, we will update the effective date and provide notice where required. The current version will be available at this page.
